Dr. Barry Dickinson is the President of Dickinson Consulting. He is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, and educator. He earned a BS in Management from Rutgers University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lasalle Univeristy, and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marketing (minor in Statistics) from Drexel University.
Dr. Dickinson spent most of his professional career as an entrepreneur. In 1995 he founded Interactive Services Group, Inc.(ISG). ISG began as a provider of break-and-fix repair services for industrial and rugged computer devices. These devices are commonly used in warehousing, retail, and delivery markets. The company grew into providing consulting services, wireless site surveys and deployments, mobile application development, systems integration, and ERP/Accounting system deployment (Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains).
The firm grew to surpase $7.0 million in sales, employ 65 people, have two physical plants (Delran, NJ and Arlington, TX), and have over 1,000 customers across the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Carribean. In 2004, the firm was sold to an investor group. Dr. Dickinson remained on as CEO until 2010 when he moved into a full-time academic position.
Dr. Dickinson was appointed Assistant Professor of Management-Marketing at Holy Family University in Philadelphia in 2010. He became Dean of the School of Business Administration and Extended Learning at HFU in 2012, where he remains. He has extensive experience teaching in online, blended, and face-to-face learning environments.
